About
Learn more about Kiley Rundle, design leader.
Hey there, I’m Kiley!
I’ve spent 15+ years designing products and leading teams across enterprise workflows, growth and monetization, design systems, and AI-assisted experiences at Intuit, Nextdoor, and Chegg.
I moved into leadership because I realized my greatest impact came from making both products and people stronger. I bring clarity to complex problems, connect customer needs with business priorities, and create the conditions for designers to do their best work.
I stay close to the product through discovery, critique, workflow decisions, and quality reviews—but my goal isn’t to own every screen. It’s to give teams the context, support, and confidence to make strong decisions independently.
“Kiley has a unique talent to both translate business and customer needs into well-designed product, and to also get buy-in and support from partners and executives on those well-founded design decisions.”
- Susan Dunavan, Director of Product, Strategy & Growth @ Chegg
I’m at my best when the problem is messy, the path forward isn’t obvious, and bringing people together can unlock something better. I care deeply about building inclusive products, developing thoughtful designers, and leaving teams stronger than I found them.
How I lead
I believe a design leader’s job is to create the clarity, trust, and conditions that allow people—and products—to become stronger.
🎯 Connect customer value to business impact
I connect customer insight with business strategy, using data to reveal where design can create the greatest value. That alignment helps shape not just how we build, but what we build—and why.
🧭 Create clarity before asking for execution
When the problem is ambiguous, I help teams understand the customer, the business stakes, and the decisions that matter most. Clear context gives people the confidence to move with purpose.
🔍 Stay close without becoming the bottleneck
I remain connected through discovery, product reviews, critique, and key workflow decisions. I step in when my perspective can unlock the work and step back when the team is ready to own it.
🌱 Give people ownership, not just tasks
I set clear expectations, adapt my coaching to the individual, and give designers room to lead. My goal is to strengthen their judgment, not make them dependent on mine.
🤝 Build trust through candor and care
I create environments where people can challenge a direction, share unfinished thinking, admit when something isn’t working, and ask for support. I’m honest about what needs to improve and deeply invested in helping people get there.
⚙️ Raise quality through systems
Quality shouldn’t depend on last-minute heroics. I build shared principles, critique practices, cross-functional checkpoints, and scalable foundations that help teams make stronger decisions throughout the work.
I’m interested in the hard, messy product problems.
Complex workflows. Emerging platforms. AI experiences where trust matters. Teams ready to raise the quality bar.
